Q no 1: Which is the best strategy from the given two?

Ans: To hire the local people of that country where the company wants to operate that is called EXTERNAL RECRUITMENT will be the best strategy for better planning and for the accomplishment of the objectives of the company.

 

Q no 2: What is the rationale of choosing this strategy?

 

Hiring local people of that country (external recruitment) is best strategy because they can have best knowledge of their Country, cities, people, culture, and people's attitude and about Govt rules and policies, seasonal changes of that market. So those can make better plans and strategies for the company to be successful in that market because they have best knowledge about their market. How they can capture the market and they know that how to overcome the competitors in that market. How company can survive in that market. What quality and standards are adopted in their market or country, culture, which they use to promote their company internationally. Because company's chief executive wants to promote company and to capture international markets.

 

Here some advantages to hire the local people of that country.

Advantages

1: The people of that country will have better knowledge of their market behavior that would be beneficial for making successful plans to setup in the market.

2: Language and other cultural barriers will be eliminated by hiring the people of that country.

3: They will be helpful for company in understanding the rules and regulations of that country and of that market.

4: No transportation of staff and no work permit will be required.

5: Continuity of management will be improved.

6: Hiring host-country nationals is seen as good public relations principally because the multinational is showing a commitment to providing jobs in the local economy.

7: Company can get trained its parent country nationals by the external employed staff it will be helpful for company in future.

8: The people hired form that country (host country nationals) can have the knowledge of the demands of customers of that particular region.

Drawbacks:

1: The people hired from that country are new for the organization and they may not            understand the policies and rules of the company.

2: They may demand for higher rewards.

3: Control and Coordination of headquarters may be impeded.

4: Hiring host country nationals limits opportunities for parent country nationals to gain overseas experience.

5: Language can be a hurdle between HCN's and the company.

6: They may disagree with the policies and rules of the company.

 

Although this strategy has some disadvantages but overall this strategy will be more rewarding for the company.
