The Higher Education Commission has also declared his IBCC equivalence certificate fake. He was elected Member National Assembly from Jhang on Pakistan Muslim League-Q ticket, and now in Muslim League-Nawaz,

Shiekh Waqas Akram was Education Minister of Pakistan.
