Answer:

            Mr. Asim can use following methods to show his dissatisfaction:

For a short period of time he shows his dissatisfaction by using

1.      Voice

2.      Loyalty

Voice: He actively and constructively attempting to improve conditions, including suggesting improvements, discussing problems with superiors, and some forms of union activity.

Loyalty: Passively but optimistically waiting for conditions to improve, including speaking up for the organization in the face of the external criticism, and trusting the organization and its management to "do the right thing."

3.      Exit

Behavior directed towards leaving the organization, including looking for a new position as well as resigning. So Mr. Asim realized that the situation is not going to improve and decided to leave the Company and thus resigned.

Question No.2:

What are the other ways Mr. Asim could have used to express his dissatisfaction and what would have been the impact of that decision on his work related attitudes?                        (5+5)

Answer:

            There are no of employees can show their dissatisfaction:

·         Exit

·         Voice

·         Loyalty

·         Neglect

According to above Mr.Asim can show his dissatisfaction by;

Neglect:  Passively allowing conditions to worsen, including chronic absenteeism or lateness, reduced effort, and increased error rate.

Exit and neglect behaviors encompass our performance variables_ productivity, absenteeism and turnover.

Voice and loyalty are constructive behaviors allow individuals to tolerate unpleasant situations or to revive satisfactory working conditions. It helps us to understand situations, such as those sometimes found among unionized workers, where job satisfaction low is coupled with low turnover.

Impact on work related attitudes.

Ø  Low productivity

Ø  High turnover

Ø  Poor employee morale

Ø  Low efficiency

Ø  Disturbance in organizational environment
