درد اتنا تھا کہ اس رات دلِ وحشی نے
ہر رگِ جاں سے الجھنا چاہا
ہر بُنِ مُو سے ٹپکنا چاہا
اور کہیں دور ترے صحن میں گویا
پتا پتا مرے افسردہ لہو میں دھل کر
حسنِ مہتاب سے آزردہ نظر آنے لگا
میرے ویرانہء تن میں گویا
سارے دُکھتے ہوئے ریشوں کی طنابیں کُھل کر
سلسلہ وار پتا دینے لگیں
رخصتِ فاصلہء شوق کی تّیاری کا
اور جب یاد کی بجھتی ہوئی شمعوں میں نظر آیا کہیں
ایک پل آخری لمحہ تری دلداری کا
درد اتنا تھا کہ اس سے بھی گزرنا چاہا
ہم نے چاہا بھی ، مگر دل نہ ٹھہرنا چاہا

دشتِ تنہائی میں

دشتِ تنہائی میں، اے جانِ جہاں، لرزاں ہے
تیری آواز کے سائے، ترے ہونٹوں کے سراب
دشتِ تنہائی میں، دوری کے خس و خاک تلے
کھل رہے ہیں، ترے پہلو کے سمن اور گلاب

اُٹھ رہی ہے کہیں قربت سے تری سانس کی آنچ
اپنی خوشبو سے سُلگتی ہوئی مدھم مدھم
دور اُفق پار، چمکتی ہوئی قطرہ قطرہ
گر رہی ہے ترے دلدار نظر کی شبنم

اس قدر پیار سے، اے جانِ جہاں رکھا ہے
دل کے رُخسار پہ اس وقت تری یاد نے ہات
یوں گماں ہوتا ہے، گرچہ ہے بھی صبحِ فراق
ڈھل گیا ہجر کا دن، آ بھی گئی وصل کی رات

3rd Convocation of Virtual University of Pakistan

Virtual University of Pakistan is holding its 3rd Convocation. Graduating students of Fall 2010 and Spring 2011 semesters who wish to participate in the ceremony must register themselves latest by Tuesday January 10, 2012. The convocation will be held in six separate ceremonies at Lahore, Karachi, Islamabad, Peshawar, Quetta and Multan.

Please note the following:

Graduates may register for the Convocation, by visiting the following link:

www.vu.edu.pk/convocation

Participating graduates may be accompanied by one parent/guardian as specified by them during registration/re-confirmation

Invitation Cards will only be issued to students who register their participation as given above

Entry will not be allowed without invitation cards issued by the University

NOTE: Only those students who have completed their degree requirements in Fall 2010 and Spring 2011 are eligible to participate.
