As CEO of the "Softronix" what reasons do you see for the poor performance in Japan.
Answer:
As Mr. Ahmad was working in USA Softronix company as a successful manager but when he transfer from USA to Japan unfortunately he did not think about that USA situated in west and his believes are different from Japan because USA believes on individualism to achieve goals individually but Japan believe on collectlism when Mr. Ahmad started work in USA style obviously he could not succeed at all. So that's why his performance go down day by day.
Question # 2:
Keeping in view the globe framework for assessing the cultures what other considerations should Mr. Ahmad look at in order to assess the two totally different cultures?
Answer:
Mr. Ahmad needs to assess the Japanies culture to be a successful manager as he was in USA. He collect the information about the work behavior how employees behave on work and how they can be motivate and happy while achieving their goals effectively and efficiently. Mr. Ahmad should assess the globe framework for assessing the cultures it includes assertiveness is one of the tool to assessing the globe framework for assessing cultures the extent to which a society encourages people to be tough, assertive and competitive versus modest and tender. Another source is future orientated behavior such as planning, investing in the future.
Some societies they maximized the gender role differences, uncertainly avoidance also a tool for assessing cultures. In some societies people feel the power distance due to unequally shared. In individualism where some societies like to work individually but some like to work collectively and also performance oriented where people encourages the reward system and in the end human oriented where society encourages individuals for being fair, generous and kind to others, So these are some globe framework whom Mr. Amhad take help to being a successful manager in the Japan as he was in USA.
